Safety is our priority! The bed features a secure locking mechanism. Combined with the upward tension of the 4-piston hydraulic system, the cabinet stays safely locked and shut. It will never fall open accidentally.
Can I leave my desktop monitor on the desk when folding the bed down?

No. The self-leveling desk requires items to be UNDER 4 inches tall to clear the bed frame. Laptops and flat items are fine, but taller items like monitors must be laid flat or removed before lowering the bed.
Do I need a special Murphy bed mattress, or can I use my own?

No special mattress needed! Use any standard Queen mattress, provided it meets 2 strict rules: It must be NO thicker than 10 inches, and MUST weigh at least 55 lbs to act as a proper counterweight to keep the bed flat.
Will the bed cabinet sit flush against my wall if I have thick baseboards?

You may need minor adjustments. To ensure a flush, secure wall mount, you can either remove a small section of your baseboard behind the cabinet or use wood shims behind the upper brackets to bridge the gap safely.
I rent my house. Can this bed be uninstalled, moved, and reassembled if I move to a new apartment?

Absolutely! While heavy-duty, it can be disassembled for moving. Simply unscrew the anchors from the wall studs. You just need to patch a few small screw holes with standard wall putty, similar to a TV wall mount.
